You can easily share a direct link that takes guests straight to your Google review page. Sign in to the Google account that manages your business. Search for your business on Google. This is a great way to encourage happy guests to share their experience and help build your online reputation.

Question 24

How do I share my property location if I don't have a physical street address?

Accepted Answer

No problem! If your accommodation is in a rural area, on a farm or somewhere without a conventional street address, you can still share its location using Google Maps. Open Google Maps. Find your property's exact location on the map. Press and hold on the correct spot to drop a pin (on desktop, right-click). Select Share. Copy the location link. Add this link to your guest guide. This allows guests to navigate directly to your property, even if it doesn't have a traditional street address.

Question 25

What is the best way to record a video for my guest guide?

Accepted Answer

A short, clear video can make a big difference to your guests' experience. You could use videos to demonstrate how to operate an appliance, explain check-in procedures or introduce your property. Our tips: Record in good natural lighting. Keep your phone steady or use a tripod. Clean your camera lens before recording. Record in a quiet environment with minimal background noise. Keep videos short and focused on one topic. Speak clearly and naturally. Avoid including private information, access codes or security details. For the best results, record in good quality (1080p is recommended) and check that your video displays correctly on your guide before publishing.

Question 26

How often can I change or update my guest guide information?

Accepted Answer

As often as you like! You can log into your HeyGuest account and update your information whenever something changes. Whether you're changing Wi-Fi details, updating check-in instructions, adding a new restaurant recommendation or changing your house rules, you can keep your guide up to date. Your guests will see the latest published information when they open your guide.

Question 27

If I update my guest guide, will my QR code change?

Accepted Answer

No. Updating the content of your existing guest guide should not change your QR code, provided you continue using the same guide link. Your QR code directs guests to your digital guide, rather than storing the actual information itself. This means you can update your content without having to reprint your QR code or replace the one displayed in your accommodation.
